Start car without clutch
i've always had my previous car in neutral, because it had a turbo timer... so ever since i never left it in gear.... thanks guys i will check out the plug thingy in the morning.
You guys are are off just a little bit. There are two switches on the clutch pedal. One is for the starter inter-lock and another one is for the cruise. The inter-lock switch is "pushed" to close the starter circuit. This happens when you have the pedal to the floor.
The cruise defeat is a "clutch pedal position" switch (kind of a sensor) and when the cruise control system senses that the pedal is no longer at the top, it defeats the cruise.
So, during normal driving when the clutch is up, the starter interlock switch is always open and the "cruise" switch is always closed.
As the starter inter-lock must be closed to let the starter crank, all one would have to do is cut the two wires coming from this switch and twist them together.
ps. DISCLAIMER: I am NOT advocating that anyone does this.
