Starter Replacement
On an 05 'ap2 with most of the stock engine components and an air pump delete maneuvering the starter around with out breaking anything took me like 30 minutes manipulating my arm and hand around the hard lines
This has to be one of the most complicated and least straight forward tasks I have ever had to do on the s2000 platform.
I used this thread to help me with the details of the starter rebuild itself:

Yes it is a goldwing; but the starter is very similar in construction to the s2000 one.
Original starter had been screeching for 12k miles so I tackled this during my alternator replacement.
The starter was filthy with dried and caked grease, dust, dirt and clutch material everywhere. Initially, when I pulled it out it was difficult to actuate and spin. Once cleaned it spun like crazy and after greasing it actuated nice and smoothly.
Once I tossed it back in, the car fired up so fast and strong. 20 starts so far, no screeching.
