Default Starting issue after injector cleaning

We sent out my buddy's injectors for cleaning coz he was having miss firing issues. After we put on the injectors the miss firing went away. But now the s2k starts very rough. It cranks 3-4 times before it starts. If we leave the key in on position for a bit longer, it starts a lil better but not as smooth.
I'm thinking maybe the ECU is not used to new injectors and is straying too much fuel flooding the engine?

This is a bit out of my realm but when I alter anything related to air or fuel on my car i reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery.

Have you tried that?

disconnected the battery cable for 15 minutes, and that didn't seem to make any difference.

it doesn't sound too serious, maybe just drive it around a bit more and make sure there isn't air in the fuel system, and let the long term fuel trim settings stabilize etc.. . Make sure your spark plugs are good.

Okay I also noticed that when the car is warmed up and idling, I can hear this single "tick, tick, tick" from inside the car. Also the car only does this on the first try. After that it turns on normal. Again this issue came up after we put on the cleaned injectors on, before it had no cranking problems other then the miss fire.
We did leave fuel line and injector holes open for a week with the hood closed while waiting for injectors to come back. I don't know if that has to do with anything.

Sounds like there most likely is fuel in the lines. No backfiring? As the fella stated above, keep an eye on your plugs, that should tell you everything. On a different rig, i was having some of the same symptoms, so i took the injectors out and to napa. They replaced all the seals, test sprayed and set to factory specs. I picked them up and put them in, and ended up having the same problems. Turned out one of the injectors was actually still spraying too much fuel. It was easy to find out because that cylinders spark plug was soaked. Replaced with an oem, and the rig ran perfect. Good luck

3/4 days. Well the company that we sent injectors to installed new seals and such. There doesn't seem to be any leaks.
