Default Steaming Radiator fluid

The other day I was driving home and I was about 5 minutes from my house and I notice steam comin from under my hood, so I got home pop the hood and see coolant steaming from my coolant reservior. My car is turbocharged by the way so I had to move the reservior. I was looking online and people said it was the headgasket. Well I don't think its the headgasket because I don't have any white smoke comin from the exhaust except when its freezing out, no oil in the coolant, and no coolant on the dipstick. I also have a 3mm headgasket from inlinePRO so I am really really hopeing its not the headgasket because its freakin expensive. Im also certain that I dont have a warped or cracked head. Any input would be nice.

I'm thinkin maybe a crack in my radiator or something of that nature.

Thanks

Start small. When is the last time you changed the thermostat? If it fails and everything gets too hot it will boil over. ShouldNt cost that much at all to fix. Take it out and look at it. There is a rubber seal that might flake apart or be missing entirely. That's a good way to know that you need a new one.

I put a Mishimoto Thermostat in about a month ago. Do you think it was falty and started failing? One of my buddies that used to have an S2K said he had just a small leak in one of his hoses and coolant leaked slowly and sometimes boil. Sounds almost like my problem only it doesnt look like mine is leaking any. This is the one thing I hate about the AEM EMS is that the temp gauge doesnt work.

You had your cooling system open a month ago. If what you have now is overheating (sounds likely), the first thing to make sure of is that the cooling system is full - no air bubbles or pockets. Burp it.

If you have a AEM EMS there is no reason why you don't have a Modifry ECT driver to make the gauge work.

I already bled the air out of the system when I changed the thermostat, another member said the fan switch and that the fan isnt turning on when the coolant gets hot.

Its official, that its probably not the fan switch, changed it yesterday and drove around all day pretty much and it did steam once for 10 sec. and quit then didnt steam for the rest of the day till I got home at about 12:30 this morning. but it wasnt steaming alot so im thinkin I just need to top it off with coolant. Any other suggestions would be nice

Thanks
