The power steering in our car is electric, and I have never heard of the symptoms you describe. My guess is that something is binding up, either due to lack of lubrication or damage. Check the suspension and steering systems and let us know what you find.

Also, check your tire pressure and make sure they are correct.

You might need to reset the EPS system so it knows where the middle of the steering is...

good god punctuation is your friend it is very hard to read what you are saying the sentences all seem to be jumbled together i realized you are probably just lazy and are gonna call me the grammer police but thats ok i think good grammer at least punctuation anyway makes questions especially questions marks easier to answer oh and by the way i agree with checking the tire pressure and maybe an alignment and remember our cars dont have power steering fluid thanks

sorry to bring back up this old thread, just wondering if you have sorted out the problems yet?
i am having the exact same problem with my steering and am not sure what it could be?
my mechanic seems to think that it is uctting power to the eps when i am turning left but is normal when turnign right.

If your car just went off road and damaged other parts in the suspension and turns normally in 1 direction and not in the other, Chances are the rack is bent.

i crunched the right side of my car on a curb when i avoided hitting a deer. Even with the RF tire slid half way under the car, the wheel still turned....well haha
