Default Steering rack install- VSA lights on

Last weekend I got a CR steering rack + torque sensor installed on my 09 AP2 and afterwards both VSA lights are on (the VSA and ! Triangle). It's not low brake fluid; I also completed the relearn torque sensor to neutral position procedure and the lights are still on after approximately 100mi of driving.

What I did notice was that the steering wheel only turns about 1 turn to the left but about 1.4 to the right, starting from center neutral position. Is this normal, CR (and I guess base model) owners? Or did the shop botch the install?

Thanks all

Not currently with my car so can't check on the steering wheel position stuff, but have you checked that the wires are connected correctly?

Was the rack centered in position before it was connected to the steering shaft?

When does the light come on? Immediately after you start the car, or after you manipulate the steering wheel?

No, I don't believe so- after the install the steering wheel was way off (maybe 150 degrees to the right in order to go straight). The lights are always on, even when keys are in "on" position

You need to reset the torque position sensor, for one

I think they're trying to re-center the rack now. They're going to take measurements and make sure it's properly centered; ie, neutral position is the exact center when turned from lock to lock on both sides. Is this how it is supposed to be? I have heard from other sources that you are supposed to be able to turn the wheel left more from the center position than turning it right (so that u turns can be properly executed?). Can anyone do a quick check on their car to see if the turns are the same for left and right?
