Default Steering Wheel Dead Zone

I have a very slight deadzone about 1/4" in both clockwise and counter clockwise in the steering wheel. It doesn't feel precise and the wheels are now straight when the steering wheel is at about 10ish o'clock. Wheels and tires haven't been changed or any suspension parts.

I DID, however, do a clutch job last week. The clutch job involved removing a bolt from the steering ball joint. I marked it before disassembling and bolted it back the way it was. I didn't torque to spec (about 25 lb-ft) because a 1/2" drive torque wrench wont fit in the space

I'm thinking this could be the culprit, but I want to know if there could be anything else that could cause this?

If the subframe wasn't tightened down properly it could shift throwing off your alignment.

Steering wheel at 10 o'clock sounds like you didn't get the steering shaft reattached in the same position.
