Default Stock '01 AP1 Dyno Tuned with VAFC

I brought my Stock '01 AP1 to Bisimoto Engineering to see what it would put down.. I have read that the motor runs very rich from the factory so I decided to get a VAFC and lean it out a little..

I was expecting more from the Baseline, but as confirmed, the AFR was really rich... With tuning done, the gains were pretty impressive, but the final numbers still seem a little low to me..

All tuning was done by myself, since I wanted to learn and also, thought it would be easy.. Upon making changes, I realized that it was not as easy as it seems and that Bisi, the owner of Bisimoto Engineering could have probably made more power with is vast experience and tuning knowledge...

Let me know what you guys think...

comparing dyno plots from one car on one dyno to another car from another dyno is worthless.

back on topic, why is the torque and horsepower down in the lower rpm range? torque in the low end is already pathetic, id hate to lose more.

Since I tuned with a VAFC 1, I was limited to only 8 tuning points which made fine tuning very difficult.. With a VAFC 2, it probably could have been much smoother...

Oh well, I tried... Next time, I will just let Bisi do the tuning...

well with a VAFC I doubt he could make much more HP. As you said yourself its a VAFC, you only had 8 adjustment points to work with. The only thing he could do is possibly lean it out even further
