Default Stock air filter

I may have just noticed this, but does anyone have a constant high-pitched hum coming from their stock air filter box when the car is running? Is this normal? It seems louder as if something is clogged. Car feels a little boggy too unless it is in my head.

Just got this car a few weeks back and it came with a cone shaped filter that snaps into the bottom of the air filter box. Is this the correct stock filter? Just wondering cause it looks like the previous owner had cold air installed and put the stock back kinda messy.

Filter looks clean as well.

Thanks,
Ry

Stock filter is green paper, make sure its securely mounted and correctly attached. Solve the problem and install a nice intake

I only hear it when I take the cover off and I have a K&N Filter. However it is not loud enough that I hear it while driving only when car is idling.

Hmm, had a cold-air on my former ride. Like it, except for puddles. could get the blocker though. How are the cold-airs for the s2k? Which are the best? I know of AEM of course, but V2 or regular? How about Fujita intakes or Injen?

The hum is generally normal, hard to tell without a sound clip. As for intakes, the AEM V1 sounds MEAN but it does not install like I would like. You have to chop and cut etc to get it to fit. The K&N intake looks nice and looks like it has nice fit but to each his own

supposedly the AEM V2 is one of the best out there and has perfect fit. I've heard nothing but good about it, but I can't totally back it up without using one myself, but it's in the top of my list for intakes I'm looking at getting.
