Default Stock Hp ??

this might sound liek a stupid question, but i 've seen some dynos on stock s2000s with less than 190 rwhp! and some go up to 205! i know the cause of this is obviously cause all engines are basically different. but my question was is this stagnant? are you simply at a disadvantage or are there ways to tune the engine to its fullest potential and get it back up to "par". thank you for anyone who takes time out to answer this question. i'm almost afraid to dyno.

There's no reason to be afraid to Dyno...you might as well know, if you really care that is.

I guess the best bet to bring HP up to par is either a VAFC or a AEM PEMS.

Anyways, I'm just guessing that for some, it may be the way they break-in their car.

hrm.. so does the vafc somewhat make up for the breakin being messed up? or is it a once shot deal?

the vafc would probably make up for it....but yea...i would agree....its the break-in of the car that counts...ive heard my friend's shop dynoed 190 to the wheels and 215 to the wheels on the same machine....same day....two different cars....3 times...

yeah that sucks. some cars can still use vafc and vafc too as well. so i guess the breakin does matter a lot.

There is variability from one dynojet to another, one location to another, and from one car to another. If you use the same chassis dynomometer under the same test conditions, then it is fair to compare cars.
