Default Stock Wheels US vs. AUS

Anyone know why the US s2k's stock wheels come in a plain metal finish, while the Australian ones have a duller coated finish.

I just went and looked at mine...between the spokes looks like a silver/grey paint and the surface of each spoke, outer rim and center hub look to be just clear coated. I could be wrong.

The US spec wheels look like the 5th generation Prelude type, it's got a clear finish while the AUS spec wheels have a silver coated paint finish. Well, either way it is I suppose it's to define which market it is for.

JDM wheels are clear coated ... You can also get them color coded as an option from the dealership.

Colour coded? Do you mean you can get blue wheels for a blue s2k?

I don't know if people do get that color but it's common to see White S2000s with white wheels from the factory showroom when I picked up my car 12 months back or more. That I'm very sure it's an option since they asked me if I wanted to color coded my wheels to something ... I wanted black but didn't get it done. Eventually did so in Australia anyway.

Hey Takashi do you have any pics of your wheels.

I'm considering getting mine polished.

Nope, don't like taking pictures of my car and won't allow anyone to either ... Just me I suppose but it's a superstition thingy. Well if you're going to get it polished, make sure it's done properly.
