Default Strange clicking noise after switching to synthetic

2 nights ago i took my '02 with 20,000 mi. to get synthetic put in it for the first time. I had a left over(un-used) honda oil filter in my house so i took it with me hoping to get a discount. The oil change cost $48 for 5 quarts of mobile 1(I dont know if this is a good price, but didnt sound too bad). Everything seemed to go well until i pulled out of the shop and there was a loud clicking noise that was coming from the driverside footwell. The only thing i know is that it is definately RPM related. The higher the RPM, the faster the clicking noise. By 5000 rpm the noise sounds like a continuous sound because its going to fast, but its very noticable and very annoying. Both me and my girlfriend got very frustrated having to listen to it. It kind of sounds like i have a bad ground somewhere, but it definately wasnt there before the oil change and was present the second after. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Brad

Did the people who changed your oil have an opportunity to drive your car? Hope you don't have a scored cylinder wall, or that this isn't a symptom of having had an over rev.

Check the oil. Make sure it is full.

I checked and there is plenty of oil. Also, i sat in my car while they changed my oil, so no chance of them driving it. I never "over" rev the car. Just an occasional vtec, but none to be considered over revving, except by those idiots at honda. Any other suggestions?

I'm a little confused here. How is having a bad ground similar to your clicking?

Ive always thought that a bad ground resulted in a clicking type sound, but im probably wrong. The noise is quite loud and happens all the time. I wish there was a better way to describe it. Kinda like a paper getting caught in a fan, but not so extreme. I will try and record a sound clip of it, but it may not work so well.

Maybe you have a nail/bolt in your tire somewhere?

"Bad ground", to me, indicates a poor electrical connection. That's why I'm confused.
