Default Strange engine shut off randomly

Hey guys, my '02 AP1 has been experiencing some really strange "shut offs" while driving. It was only last night that I was able to confirm the turn signals are somehow related.

The car is mostly stock, but it has an aftermarket [clifford] alarm that was professionally installed by the PO. I've considered the fuel pump relay, but now I'm leaning towards the ignition switch.
- Car shits off while driving, right after using indicators. Happens very rarely, but does tend to catch me off guard.
- Lights and radio continue playing, but all dash indication is gone
- engine restarts immediately after turning key ON and OFF

I would swap out the ignition switch, but when i took a look at the harness, I noticed that there a ton of wires spliced into it due to the alarm. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I just want to know if there is anything I can test of try before I hand it off to an alarm installer to start re-wiring the alarm.

Thanks i advance for the help

How long have you had the car? Also how long has the alarm been on the car? Has it had this problem since you bought the car? Do you know the previous owner?

I've had the car for 6 months. I'll contact the PO, but this didn't start happening until Nov, but its so infrequent that I may have just not triggered it before.

Check the connections onto the fuel pump? Condition of fuel filter?

It could be the alarm itself. I had an alarm on my old civic that was "professionally" installed at a local shop. I had it on for a year and sometimes in traffic the alarm would just start going off when I was sitting at the light. I ended up removing it completely. If you get ahold of the OP, ask where he got it installed and if it might still be under warranty
