ok, so i noticed this issue a few days ago. the weather in south FL has been horrendous lately (lots of rain). as a result, its been top up windows up with the ac on 99% of the time. reciently i got in the car, noticed a slight "wet" smell and after huting around, noticed my passenger side carpet was a damp. i dried it out, and about 3 weeks later (which was a few days ago) i noticed the issue again.

im starting to think its related to the AC. i pulled the carpet up looking for the AC condensation hose to check it and couldnt find it under the carpet. with that said:

1. anyone ever experience this issue before?
2. any idea what it could be?

the car is under warranty but if its a simple fix ill just do it myself. thanks!

 

Most likely the condensation line is blocked as you suspect. I believe it's a relatively easy to clear if you know what you're looking for, but I've never had to do it. Check the FAQ there might be a DIY walkthrough...

 

i figured. only thing is i cant find the line. on my old accord it was under the carpet on the passenger side so im assuming with that and the fact that its the passenger side getting wet, that it must be around there somewhere.

anyone have an idea as to where its at exactly?

 

I haven't looked at the manual for my S yet but is there an inline filter on the A/C? I just ask this because most newer GM's have this and that might be where your blockage is. It's a possibility either way.

 

I know it exits out from under the car, on the passenger side almost right behind the passenger side front wheel. the tube is kind of up there in the body.

Easy to see it when it is dripping water. But probably not too easy when its blocked

 

Change your hepa filter for your air conditioning system. I'll bet it's plugged up.

guess i'm not following how a clogged ac filter will cause the condensation to form in his pass foot well. The two are unrelated. A clogged AC drain perhaps but not a filter. Makes no sense.

 

it probably has little effect on the issue im experiencing, but i figured A. it needs to be changed anyways and B. might as well eliminate it as a possibility
