Strange Issue

alright guys, i think im getting somewhere with this.

i have a theory on it and i was able to prove about an hour ago. i noticed that the plastic trip piece that rests up against the window (the one you pull up to get to the in cabin air filter had a small gap in it. from there, i checked the filter itself and noticed it was a little damp in the corner. then finally, i was able to track the source of the water to the extreme front right corner (by the ac blower and firewall) of the carpeting.

putting this all together, i believe that rainwater may be leaking in through that small gap, through a small gap in the filter and into the carpeting. i took a hose and sprayed the area and sure enough there was a very small amount of water that got in and made that corner slightly damp. im going to pull the plastic piece up and reposition it to close the gap and double check the sealing strips on the filter. hopefully that solves the issues

pulled the passenger seat this morning and found it wet under the seat, although not nearly as bad. im in the process of drying it out some but at this point im going to throw in the towel for sure and let the dealership figure it out.
