i will. im going to get under the car when i get home from work and see if i can clean out the drain.

i did a quick search on here and apparently theres a TSB out for the ac drain line on the early ap1's that caused exactly what i am experiencing so im assuming its a relatively known issue.

you have an ap2 not an ap1.

try the filter first. you just may be freezing up with lack of air movement and condensation.

just for reference the drain is on the passenger side of the firewall. If you look down where the AC lines come out of the firewall you would be very close to the location.

Just get under the car and you will see the line hanging there by the tranny tunnel.

yep, i just ran the ac for a few mins and waited for the condensation to drip instead of hunting for it.

i pulled the filter and as i suspected it was nasty. the local honda dealership didnt have a replacement and i didnt feel like hunting all over miami for one so i just ordered one off of H.A for now.

i cleaned out the filter the best i could, "snaked" out the drain hose with a small ziptie and sprayed some diluted bleach to clean it out. hopefully it does the job. thanks for the help guys

Alright, just to update the issue is still occuring

I replaced the AC filter a few days ago and it has not solved the issue. i woke up this morning and found the passenger side carpet was soaked again. The car has the honda extendedcare warranty so im just going to bring it in and let someone else figure it out.

One other possibility you may want to consider is that the soft top drain tank and/or drain hose may be plugged with leaves and debris. If this system is clogged, the drain tank can overflow in heavy rain. Some owners have suggested that the overflow goes into the trunk, but my experience indicates that much of it goes forward under the carpet in the driver/passenger compartment.

Where is your carpet wet- under the seat, in the footwell or both? If it's under the seat, then it's probably the drain tank. In the footwell, probably the A/C drain. If both, it could be either. What I don't know is if the hump under the carpet separates the footwell from the area under the seat, or if water can pass between those areas. If anyone has removed their carpet and knows the answer to this question, please chime in.

There was a recent thread discussing trunk leaks that included a discusssion about how to clean the soft top drainage system.

Good luck!

most likely the a/c drain is clogged..i had an 07 accord come in the other day with the CEL on...a/c drain was clogged due to a nasty spider web in the drain (damn spiders) anyways the clogged a/c drain caused water to drip on ecu/pass carpet and burnt the ecu out. so i blew out the drain and had to replace the ecu...not ness. a spider web in there but could be leaves etc...good way to diagnose is turn on the a/c and see if theres water dripping out the drain, if not you know thats your problem.

its not getting wet under the seat itself, but by the floor so im pretty convinced its the AC drain pipe. thing is, while running the AC i clearly see it draining out water. i can also feel cold air coming out of it.

i cleaned it out and replaced the in cabin air filter and it still did it the other day, so im thinking perhaps the hose has a rip in it or is loose and leaking inside the car.

on a side note, i noticed that when i replaced the filter, i didnt clip it correctly. i re clipped it correctly so im going to monitor it for a day or two and see if that resolves the issue. if not, ill probably just let the dealership deal with it since i have the extended warranty and dont have alot of free time.
