Can't hurt. Have you changed it before (and hopefully, you didn't use posi-trac oil or modifiers for a clutch-type diff...if so, then maybe your torsen does have some issues).
No...I have never changed it. I was thinking to replace it with what is recomended. Do you think I should use anything specific?

LE607 or Mobil 1 75w is what a lot of us use.

Ok...I have finally changed the diff fluid and still have the same problem. I think that I might have an idea of what could be making the rear end feel loose on the highway. I had to replace one of the rear tires a couple of months ago with a brand new one...I replaced it with exactly the same brand and style tire. Now I have one rear tire with 99% tread left and the other rear tire with about 70%. Does anybody think that this could be making the rear feel loose on the highway?

I have a tire tread difference as you have mentioned and I get that exact same feeling.

If I gas hard at highway speeds, off to engine braking (still in gear) I feel the rear end shimmy a little bit. I've double checked tire pressure and they are even.

I'm hoping new tires and an alignment will cure it.

Keep this thread updated if you figure it out.

It sounds to me like you may have a problem in the rear diff, by having one tire with more tread depth than the other can cause the cluthes in the LSD to were out. The newer tire is spinning slower than the older tire so when you hit the gas the LSD tries to sync the rear wheels and it cant. This will cause the car to drift on pull.

First thing i would do is replace the old tire and be sure they matching tires, not to different brands. If this doesnt fix it have the rear diff rebuilt or replace it.
hope this helps

Exactly...I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I was thinking of having the newer tire cut down to the tire with the 70% tread. Has anybody shaved a tire? I had it done about 10 years ago to fix a vibration on another car. I'm not sure if anyone still does that in the Orlando area.

Well at least the diff will be rebuilt under warranty. They sold me the car with two rear tires about 6 months date code apart. I'm speculating someone did the "one tire is flat, Im about to sell the car anyways, replace one ".

S2000's have a Torsen-style differential. No clutches.
