stupid question about oil

Default stupid question about oil

im a noob, ok i went to autozone and they told me that we use engine oil for the transmission so i bought some, the question is, is the mobile 1 full synthetic 10w 30 is good? and how many quarts to i put in? and what kind of spark plugs do i get?

dont put engine oil in your transmission


and go to honda and buy the OEM plugs

sometimes the people at those auto stores can be very misleading. in the manual, it says you can use engine oil for a "TEMPORARY" replacement. i would still not use regular oil in the tranny. use honda manual transmission fluid, and honda plugs!!

^+1...do not swap out your tranny fluid with engine oil. if you look at trans fluid and diff fluid it says on the bottle tha t75w90 corrolates to 10w30......doesn't say it's the same thing.....the transmission fluid is made differently ... has different additives to help with the meshing of the synchros.'s etc. etc. while engine oil is made to reduce friction etc. etc. they both are oil...correct ......but are made with different purposes in mind.
