Default stuttering after starting

After I start my car in the morning (only the first start up of the day), it will shudder and not kick up the RPM's right away. I'm used to starting it and have it kick up to 2000 RPM. It will only shudder for a second or two, then it kicks up the RPM's and will run just fine. I have no other running problems. I don't use the car as a daily driver. And it occurs if I drive the car every day (beater is in the shop), or once a week. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

How old is your battery? Check the charge on your battery.

It's the original battery from '01. I'll check that.

Battery and charging system tested good. Could this be a bad MAP sensor?

Since you have Drive by Wire, I would NOT recommend cleaning your throttle body. You may mess up the throttle or the ECU. I've seen this happen on quite a few DBW.

BTW - I replaced my battery just to see if it would help the problem, and I haven't had the starting problem since.
