Default Subframe bolt issue

I used to take my S to my personal mechanic but not anymore since I found out this issue. He has installed my built long block and did clutch changes and never told me there were ANY issues with the bolts let alone tell me about the stud! I don't work on my car anymore since my surgery. Wish I could but I need another follow up surgery to fix my bones...Anyways about the bolts. I took my car to Rockstar Garage(RSG) to have my Spoon Sports rigid collar kit installed. I get a call from RSG and Justin tells me that I need to come down a.s.a.p. to look for myself at the problems he has found. They're like 15 minutes from me. I get there and Justin shows me the 3 bolts with issues. The first one he showed me was the passenger front bolt and it was not even there. It was a STUD with a NUT and it was WELDED on( the stud )!!! The second one was the driver side front and that one was half snap in there but the other half had some threasd on it and it was still used in that same location...The third and final one was just a wrong bolt for the drivers side middle and the bolt was longer than the original. Justin said even though it looks bad it'll hold up for now and doesn't recommend racing this car but said if I already did and nothing happened, maybe its stable enough. I did some time attack and pushed the car fairly hard before knowing I had this issue and it drives fine. Im not sure if this issue was already present before I bought the car from an S2Ki member but my previous mechanic never brought this to my attention so now he is no longer my mechanic. I searched around to find out that Billman had some experience in this issue but he's on the other side of the map. Thats not going to work so I did a little more research and hear really good stuff about Alex at Ballade Sports. Brought the car in and had Alex take a chance on this fix since he also said he had some experience. A member also had his subframe bolt issue repaired here according to Alex and I did some searching and it was merkis1024. I also brought in my extra subframe since the other one that was on there was kind of beat up. Might as well have this installed since I thought they needed to remove the subframe but they said they didn't need to. But anyways in order for Alex to EVEN take the job including installing the other subframe will cost me a $2500 deposit and according to how much work is done, will be reimbursed the rest if any. Also might even cost more depending on the work. I said HECK yeah. I have no choice at this point. So fast forward 16 days later. Went by the shop to check things out and the car was cut into for the passenger front bolt and repaired and painted! I was so stoked. At this point Im keeping her. I was sad on the day I found out this issue and thought I would have to sell my car and really lost all hope in the S but Alex helped me out and Im going to keep this car for a long time maybe forever. Ill pick up my car in about a week since Alex is very busy and took my car in knowing that and put me on the back burner as I told him my extra garage space is not hurting me at all and having it there is better for me and to take his time. Ill do a follow up with pics. Wished I took some pics with the STUD but I was so pissed and sad that I didn't think of that. Ill take some pics of the repair job by Ballade so you guys can get an idea of what it looks like when done. If you guys run into the broken bolt issue, I would recommend taking it to Ballade as they have a lot of experience in s2000s and most likely can fix your issue. Thanks for reading.
