Supercharged daily drivers?

Hey I just want to kno, is it really a good idea to drive a S/C s2k. I mean im thinking about getting one, cuz it looks so TEMPTING! whats the maintenence u guys have to keep on doin to keep it tip top shape? If not ill stick to NA but it shhhhure does like tempting..........Thanks alot guys

Yes, some of the SC's are daily drivers. Mine isn't, but I believe it would function well as one. I've had no problems.

I daily drove my S2000 for 50K miles, 18K of those supercharged.

I also daily drive my SC'd S2000. As a daily driver: the supercharger maintenance is almost non-existent. Just be sure to change your engine oil regularly, regularly inspect the belt, and keep an eye on the brackets.

If you are tracking the car regularly its a whole other ball of wax though...

I am also looking at the Comptech S/C. I would be a daily driver. Was wondering how much work is it to install the thing and how good of a mechanic do you ned to be. I took autoshop back in highschool but I do not drink engine oil for breakfast.

After hearing about the new metal brakets that they're planning on shipping out it's really tempting. I'm considering purchasing one within a year or so. I talked to a couple of people on this forum who use them as daily drivers and it sounds like it's doable. I'm wondering about the maintenance on it also.

My SC S2000 is a daily driven car. I have 24K miles with supercharged on it.
