I have been SCing for the past 2 months, here are my thoughts

1. Using davepk's "GhostBooster" (electronic fix) 100% driveability as far as I can tell. Excellent throttle response and no hesitations. The only mods Comptech has done are the check valve fixes.

2. No driveability issues except hitting the REV LIMITER, the SC pulls so hard all the way up and through redline it is hard to tell when redline comes unless you are looking at the Tach. Gas mileage is little less than before but I think it is due to the fact you always want to be on the gas when you have the SC.

3. Modacar did the install $500.00 very good job. They commented on how easy the install was and the quality of the components and how everything just bolted right up.

4. No issues at all with the clutch or diff, except for a few misshift caused by things happening alot quicker than before. All seems to be working just fine. I will be ordering the ACT pressure plate and street disc from Comptech though.

5. Dyno'd at 289.1 HP and 172.9 Torque (I have Comptech exhaust as well, Comptech says it adds 8-10HP with SC) the car feels the same as stock but with alot more power.

6. Yes I would do it again. The only noticeable difference other than the power is the whine and hiss of the SC. You can tell you have something under the hood that is not stock.

Conclusion, it is the best 4K i have ever spent on this car. By far the best performance improvement mod out there. So far the local dealers are EXCITED about the SC and do not frown that we have it.

All this talk about an SC is making me thirsty.

2kturkey,

The Thermotec header tape is my own creation... insulting my CAI from the hot engine compartment + radiator... Comptech's fittings underneat all the insulation are much better looking...

This may seem like a stupid question...but does installing so fabulous a device invalidate the engine warranty? I'm quite interested in getting this done but my luck with past cars hasn't been so great. If it does I'll simply get it done when the warranty runs out.
