Default supercharging the 2.2 litre s2000

Maybe with the changes in the new S (2.2 & torque increase at lower rpm) a comptech or vortech supercharger would be the ticket?

maybe a roots style (Jackson Racing?) will be better suited with the lowered redline?

The general opinion is that the comptech is fairly safe for FI,but due to the low torque of the current s2000 motor at lower rpm's does little to enhance performance below say 4500.If the new engine has greater torque at a lower rpm would'nt the supercharger be more effective in giving acceleration gains down low.I don't know was hoping some of you more knowlegable tuner heads could enlighten me.

If the new engine is "torquier" down low (not by much), then it is naturally torquier down low. A S/C for this type of motor will still give benefits higher up, so it's not going to make much difference down low either. The question is: When they "stroked" it to get a larger displacement, did they increase the compression ratio any doing it? If they did, then blowing it may be even trickier. If they didn't, then a S/C would work pretty much the same as it does now.
Thinking out loud is fine but I wouldn't get too worked up about it till you see what Comptech and Vortech has lined up.
