Default suspension HELP! please :(

im stuck!

if anyone can suggest something, ANYTHING will help!

im having trouble removing the front passenger shock off the LCA during coilover installation.

i searched and found this troubleshooting thread with this pic:


here's mine:


notice the gap difference of the shock and LCA, mine is wayyy smaller. ive been stepping on it, trying to lower the LCA, but it wont budge at all! feels although even impossible

anything would help, thanks guys!

Take a look at this thread (it's stickied in the DIY section BTW) and search for "Take off the "A" arm bolts." Approaching it from removing the A arm bolts is much easier and doesn't require special tools.

Remove the upper a-arm...it's easier.

BTW...when you get to the rears, it is really tough to pull the lower a-arm down. The trick I learned, is to use a tie down strap. Get the kind that has a ratchet buckle. It needs to be a fairly long one too. Here is the trick: With a floor-jack, lift the car using the diff as the jack support. Leave the floor-jack there, but put jackstands in place for safety. Link one end of the ratchet strap on a lower a-arm. Thread the strap under the floor-jack. Link the other end of the strap on the opposite a-arm. Then begin to ratchet. The strap will pull against the floor-jack and pull the a-arms down.
