Advice on lower control arm Energy Suspension bushing replacement
Hi Guys,
I'm finding it quite difficult to remove the front lower control arm bushing (opposite to the compliance one).
I want to replace the bushings with energy suspension PU ones. The manual isn't really clearly on the removal of this particular bushing (https://robrobinette.com/images/S200...nt_Install.pdf)
I started doubting if im removing too much. I burned out the center part and am left with the situation as in pic below. There seem to be two metal sleeves left... Should I try to remove one more sleeve here? It seems to be very stuck.

Built to last these Honda bushes,
you need to remove the smaller metal cylinder part.
saw through it and should come out ok, good luck !!

Yeah, poly is not the way to go with this car
If you make one slice through the bushing sleeve, just enough to cut all the way through, but not damage the cast control arm, you can then pry the sleeve closed and it will easily come out.

Only outer sleeve should be left for the ES bushings to fit, it should be easy to confirm this if you compare the diameter on the PU bushing that's going in.
Like the others said though, these PU bushings is not the best choice for the lower arms.
