Thumbs up Swaping tops ap1-ap2

Short story, another s2k owner came up to me(not from s2ki) we chatted then asked if my ap2 top would fit his ap1? As in do a swap, if your asking why id do this is b/c since i have to get rid of the car might as well let parts go.

So main Q's is...

I have a AP he has a AP1, will both are top be a easy swap?

If so, what are the things i have to do?

FYI-i have search but after 3pages nothing reguarding this matter.

TIA

Incorrect.

AP1 MY 2000 & 2001 have plastic rear windows.
AP1 MY 2002 & 2003 have glass rear windows.
AP2 MY 2004 - Present have glass rear windows,

If you swap the entire frame, soft top and window, you can put a newer top on one that came with a plastic window.

If his was originally plastic, you will have to do a mod. That mod is on this site somewhere, but I don't know where. The problem is that the glass top folds a little differently.
