Swaping tops ap1-ap2

well the guy is giving me $$$ for the swap so might as well make money, plus the car is going to a dealership and wont know the diff. In fact they didnt even know what a S2000 was and by who.


So is this confired though? no problems with top up and down?

good luck with the swap - major pita but it can be done within 8 hours with short breaks.

It is a pain in the a$$ to reach some of the bolts/nuts (especially if you are 6'3 ), but it's definately do-able even for the average person

To summarize:

If you swap the entire assembly (frame, top and window) the procedure is straighforward, though time-consuming.

If you want to install a newer top with glass window on the frame of a car that originally came with a plastic window, you will need to do some "custom" modifications. Plus, the procedure itself is somewhat more tedious.

The procedure is listed on this site. Check the Library and then in the FAQ for Under the Hood as a start.
