Default swapping my engine into another S

So I have been having title issues with my current car, not going to get into it. I had a buddy who has an 04 S2000, he had around 620 whp and anyway he had crankwalk.

Now he is gettting rid of his car for dirt cheap and I'm considering picking it up and putting my engine/tranny into his, or maybe just my engine + clutch.

I have a question as to would just swapping everything of mine over to his work? I have an AP1 (01) and his is an AP2 (04).

Here is my mod list and mostly what I would be swapping over:

CTSC w/13 psi
Ultimate Racing FMIC
Oil cooler
KOYO radiator
AEM 1052 ECU
GReddy TI-C exhaust
CT header
Megan test pipe
HKS SSQV BOV
F20 with Titanium valves/retainers
Lowered compression pistons
Cosmetic 2mm head gasket
upgraded pulley
cams
4.44 gears
aftermarket differential
ACT clutch/flywheel

What would you guys suggest? Will this work fine besides the fact that I'll have an ap1 engine in an ap2 therefore the gauges won't be accurate in terms of redline (which isn't a big deal).

Thanks in advance

i don't see any issue. i would go for it. the f22 motors swap into ap1 with no problem so i am pretty sure it would work in the reverse situation. if it were a 06+ it probably wouldn't work but its an 04 so you are good.

it will swap over just fine. You should pick up UK ap2 cluster so you can read up to 9k rpms.

You should use your OEM from your 01

thanks guys, I actually won't be doing this. After everything it would probably cost more than it's worth.
