Default Sway bars

Installed my Tanabe rear sway bar today but I was wondering, the oem sway bar had two rubber peice on the side where the center rubber and clamp mounts on. That's to stop the sway bar from moving side to side once installed I'd figured but I could be wrong, the Tanabe one didn't come with them two rubber but only the ones that the clamp goes on top and mount onto the frame. Now is that how it's suppose to be? Do I remove it from the oem sway bar and install it onto the Tanabe sway bar? Also how do you remove that clip that's holding them rubber peices if it's indeed needed? One thing I do notice is that the Tanabe is heavier than the oem ones, also it's thicker. Any and all help will be appreciated, thanks...
