Default Symptons of exhaust leak?

Hey guys, today my car all of a sudden got much louder. And I can definately hear the sound coming from other places other than behind. Its also driving really sluggish. CEL popped after about 20 minutes. Now the car barely idles and wants to turn off at every stop so I'm thinking its not an exhaust leak. Is there anything else that could cause this problem? My car barely turns on.

if it is, don't replace it with an expensive OEM piece.. order a J's Header.. more power, not a whole lot more expensive.... sort of. The stock manifold is 600 dollars not including the labor charges they will hit you for.. i bet they could make it cost 1000 before it's over with.. J's used are below that.

That's what I thought at first since the header is wrapped. Although would a cracked header really cause the car to run this poorly and barely turn on?

I am not sure if there is much of a difference, but if it ends upu being your header I have a stock one I would be willing to sell you it only had 27k miles on it when it was removed...

I have the stock one in my garage. Im just not sure if a cracked header would make a car drive like that. I imagine it would at least turn on.

so the dealership never told you what was wrong with it? wrapping the headers can cause premature cracking, and yes a cracked header=less/uneven back pressure... not saying that WOULD cause your problems, but it definitely COULD
