Default Tapping coming from....

I had low oil and had the most obnoxious tapping sound coming from the inside of the engine/headgasket

Many claimed it to be a spring rod......i added oil and the sound slowly diminished

I then changed oil and the sound was completely gone.....

engine flush needed???

there was no CEL but still, a concern for my car remains

Ant $.02 appreciated.

How low were you on oil initially? I can tell when I'm a quart low because the noises from the engine are a little sharper....

That noise is your valves 'tapping' due to lack of oil. Check your oil regularly, the S2K motor is known to burn a little more than the average Honda. If you find that even after an oil change the 'tapping' continues, you may want to consider chnaging out your TCT as this part is also known to wear down over a short period of time.
