Unless you're really in Croatia email or PM Bill and get his GenX TCT. It will take you 10 minutes to remove the defective unit and part of that time is finding the 10mm wrench and needle nose pliers. There are several threads on how easy this is to swap.

unfortunately i am in Croatia so Billman's TCT is unreachable for me.

I saw thread on S2ki with sandblasting repair of TCT. What do you think of that solution?

Quick, easy, temporary repair. Problem will recur but you can do it several times from what I read here..

Sandblasting the worm has limited success, but it can buy you some time.

Just dont dremel it or sandpaper it. It will work, but when the noise returns it will be a lot worse.

on my work i have sandblasting with metal girt.

like this on picture

should i blast it using sand or this metal grit will be ok?


at the moment i am looking for someone in USA so i can buy billman's TCT.
