Default TCT fix

well I noticed my engine starting to make noises after a valve adjustment. I don't know if it had anything to do with it or not. I always remember the engine being loud but it seems to get worse and worse. I just assumed it was the valves opening and closing but i'm not sure. I think it is the TCT. It doesn't sound nearly as bad as the videos I have seen but I can still hear it. I read the DIY but i have a comptech blower. I was wondering if i could get it out and in without taking the blower off. Also, are there any down sides of just having it sand blasted? I don't mind paying for a new one but after reading the DIY it would look like I would need to take the blower off to replace it.

any advice?

If you get a specific sized bolt you can do it without taking the blower off.

It has to be a specific metric bolt with a specific thread count and pitch...maybe search for that.

With that bolt, you can hold the assembly together after the pin is removed prior to insertion. Then release that bolt and put the cap (2 bolts, not normally removed when doing the TCT) on the TCT. I wouldn't do it off my short directions, but there have been good directions posted here.
