Smile TCT question

I just got my TCT installed 1 week ago. 7 Days later it starts to do the same crap noise again. It only does it on certain times... only when it feels like. I feel like my car is a winy lil b*tch. Can someone help me out on what else to do? I can't keep replacing TCT's every week. It gets expensive. Its annoying as hell. Can someone help me out on to what I can do here? Valve adjustment??? something! I was loving the sound of having no damn rattling chain. Now im slowing having to deal with it... AGAIN. Give me a break.

try a thicker oil, you're in a hot climate and if you're turbo charged the oil will thin quicker (assuming turbo by your sig). It might only be happening when the oil gets to a certain viscosity. Try a 5w40 oil and see if it makes any difference. It would be a cheap experiment IMO. If you had it done by a dealer take it back under warranty, otherwise I don't have much else to recommend.

It's a design flaw.

Sandblast it and be done with it.

check the UTH forum.

If I had it done by the dealer? Even if my car is not under warranty, and it was a regular job done by Honda, will they still awknowledge the problem still being there and re-do it? ? ?

also yes i am turbo. You might be right on the thicker oil thing. Ill try it. If no one else has an objections to this...???? Thanks.......

I can also suggest to change the chain sliders and your chain. Extensive TCT slack and the fact that the problem returned back so quickly make me think that your chain has a bit of slack and the chain sliders are worn

I have seen many s2ks, with bad tcts, at less that 10k miles. It's not the chain, or slides. It's a design flaw.

Sandblasting the worm gear will fix it.

you can do everything brand new, and have the noise return in the same amount of miles it took for it to go bad.

OR sandblast and be done!
