Alldata time for tct replacement is 5 to 6 hrs. Pretty gay considering u can do it yourself in 20 mins. That wat they call flat rate. ha

Honda has the flat rate at .8, so with the SC there would be more time charged for the removal and install of the SC.

That is really steep even with the SC. You can pull the supercharger in less than an hour. 6 is far fetched.

i have even heard of one person doing the tct install with the pin removed prior to installation, not sure that i would ever do it this way though, too risky

You DO NOT have to pull the charger, you don't even need to use the maintenence hole.

Just retract the new tensioner with the bolt/nut combo and install it.

It took me 20 minutes to do an S/Ced car.

In other words:

-remove top cap from tensioner
-remove oil nozzle with flat screwdriver
-lock tensioner with bolt/nut combo as instructed in the manual
-remove locking pin (comes installed in new tensioner only)
-install tensioner, tighten mounting bolts
-remove nut/bolt combo, tensioner will extend
-replace oil nozzle
-replace top cap

But it also requires the tech to think outside of the service manual.
