Default Tein Flex Z coilover install assistance

Hey guys, nooby noob here trying to install coilovers for the first time on my 07 AP2.

I've read as much as I could here but still have a few questions hopefully someone can help me answer.

Can someone please verify for me that there is no need to mess with the OE top hats? My understanding is that they are ready to install as shipped.

Also, anyone with these coilovers have the edfc installed and can provide feedback?

They come with tophats. In that respect, they are ready for install...BUT they still require assembly.

Follow the manual closely and don't skip over stuff or be in a hurry. Tein provides good reference measurements and diagrams. Don't get any of the parts mixed up or out of order. Assemble them correctly.

Set all your preload values BEFORE installing them to the car. Lock the springs up before installing. Adjust height afterward using the bottom brackets only...unless you need or want to change spring position.

Bent the bracket. I swear, it was my friend and not me

Tein doesn't have the spare, but please tell me someone has a Flex Z rear coilover laying around that I can swoop up! This was a very expensive error.

Put it in a vice, carefully bend it back, why are you going to buy a new one? You can use a ball joint press, if you don't have a vice. Do it until you can put the bolt through. Not rocket science.

You worry too much.

But...Tein will sell you a spare. They have a spare parts page. Or call their customer service.

How'd your friend bend that?

Why not? It bent the first time, steel doesn't care too much if you bend it a bit. Bending it back will not fatigue the metal, I guarantee it.
