Hello all!
This is Gregg with Tein USA. I was linked to this forum by evo s2000. All of our dampers have a 1 year limited warranty on any manufacture defects. Leaking shocks is NOT a common issue. Out of the thousands of dampers that we sell, there are only a few that do leak prematurely. Most dampers can be overhauled here in the USA except RA, RS, and CS (which have to be sent to Japan). This does become a large issue for all of you due to the fact that all S2000 owners only have the choice of Tein RA, RS, and CS. All of the information that Jeff at Evolution has posted previously is correct (thanks Jeff!). I am sorry but I will not be able to monitor this forum all of the time. So any future questions that you may have, please call us here at Tein. Thank you.

Haha I was just reading this getting all fired up. I was about to ream Clovis for the rust comment considering that the RA bodies are made out of aluminum....

As for a testament to Tein, we recently put a set of Teins on my roommates car (not an S2000). One started squeaking as soon as he pulled out of the garage. We called Tein and they were most happy to help out with a few suggestions wich we checked to no avail.

We thought it was the proportioning valve that may have been bad and sent it back. Tein took a look, diagnosed that as the defect, and sent it back. Took about a week and his car was of course laid up all that time because we were too lazy to swap his stock suspension back in, but hey they made good on their defect and all is well now.

Made me glad that I went with the RA's (although I still havn't gotten around to putting them on the car yet , SHAME ON ME ).

While you all seem to know Tein, I am thinking about RS.

Is it that much of a problem to tune, and or does someone have a starting setup.

Was also thinking of ordering front 8 springs in place of 10s.

Thanks.

Sloopy,

Teins RA come at a preset height that works great for the track. Pogo effect gone! And my car pushes the front tires - even with -2
