Default tein RA suspension help

Hey guys,

I recently installed some Tein RA suspension that have helper springs.

When I was adjusting the height today.. I noticed that when the car is on the ground with the wheels on.. the helper springs look like they are bunched together very tightly with no room for travel. Are they suppose to look like this?

also.. I noticed a weird clunking noise from the rear driver's side strut everytime I go over a bump. Is this normal? I'm suspecting that I didnt seat the top correctly when I installed it... but i've heard that JDM suspension is very noisy.

thanks in advance for any help

the helper springs on mine look like that. not sure about the noise tho, then again, my car is very loud, as it is I can barely hear my stereo.
but how could you not seat the top correctly?

thats what I was wondering.. but its the only thing that I could think of that would cause this clunking. it cant be the bottom because its only 1 bolt.

oh good thing about the helper springs.. I thought I got a ****ed up set or something. Its weird.. how do the helper springs help when they are compressed to tightly like that??

it looks the same on my KW's.. however I don't think it is a problem to look like that.. infact that is the intention of the design..

the helper spring is not there for additional compression capability.. but to keep the whole system tight when the suspension is in "droop" mode..
