help: strange sound from suspension
ok. i had the tein s-tech springs installed over the weekend, and the drop is awesome, and the ride quality is great.
the only thing is that i notice there are sounds coming from the suspension (only on the right, and mainly from the front), which i can only imagine is caused by the springs. it sounds like metal hitting against hard compond rubber, and the sound is not constant, it's like only when i'm turning the wheels. sometimes it sounds like something just fell into place....
i know it's difficult to explain the sound i'm hearing, and i dont expect this to be normal. but has anyone else experienced weird sounds after installing springs especially the tein s-tech?

I have the Tein RS suspension, and it makes a lot of noise, though it is coming from the rear. I thought something was wrong with it, so I took it back to the installer and had them ride around the block to listen to the noise. They said that pillowball mounts are noisy and that it was normal, though they took the time to put my car back on the lift to be sure. All connections were solid. I got used to it after a while, but it does sound kind of ghetto every time I go over any bump it goes ~toc-ca toc-ca toc-ca toc-ca toc-ca~. And I do occasionally hear creak from the springs. It is made for the track though, so it's understandable that they weren't going to compromise street performance for ride comfort (or noise level).
i have tein RA's, when i first put them on they were perfectly normal in terms of sound, just sounded like stock. i have since raised my ride height, then every time i went over bumps it would make a noise like a loose spare tire. i checked everything, i ran my hand around the coils to see if there was something off or rubbing against the perches, nothing. i checked all the bolts, then after like 4 hrs the last place i would have looked, was the bolt on top that holde the whole coilover together had come loose. that was the only bolt i never touched, i just assumed it was tightened properly by the factory, but i guess when i was turning the perches to adjust the height i must have loosened that bolt.
so, check ALL the bolts and see that nothing is loose.

i got the same sound from the rear on my car.. i got the tein flex with edfc.. and well if i set it to stiff setting.. you can hear the creaks and noises from the rear.... and when i put it to a softer setting, the noises go away....although the top still rattles like a mofo....

so has anyone not experienced any kind of noise after putting on the aftermarket springs or coilovers?
