is there any way to run a test pipe without the maintenance light on? not using an aftermarket ecu, fake o2 sensor? thanks

Yes. If you can find an ECG O2 simulator (5-wire), it seems to work fine for everyone. Some have been able to get the Caspers 3-wire simulator to work, but others haven't.

cdelena and jerry

your BOTH WRONG

my car idles like stock
and NEVER a check engine light

this was a mod i learned from Marcucci
problems:
must reset dash lights every time you start car
doesnt remember fan settings heater, a/c etc..fan resets to off
no chiming if you leave lights on
no chiming when key is in ignition with door open

no idle prob
no CEL

as far as disabeling other codes...that one i dont know

but 10k miles... not 1 prob
just saved 15 pounds
and Im comitting a federal felony

I love america!!!

I think gernby had the same problem I do, as well as others, with the car stalling before the car is completely warmed. After warmup there wasn't an issue. Idle quality suffers some but not much once warm.

cdelena, you might mention that the Mugen ECU will also prevent most people/states from passing inspection.

A simulator is the only way to go if you don't want to swap a cat out every year for inspection (what I do). I just live with the idle.
