Default Test Pipes

I'm considering a test pipe for my car, But I wanted to know which one will be the best? and if you can go to a local muffler place and have them create a test pipe for you! and does it always trigger the check engine light on? how much HP do you gain with it.

Best? It's a straight pipe, you will trigger the CEL, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. HP gain? What other mods do you have? It really isn't going to get you much beyond poor gas mileage and noise, unless you have other mods that compliment it.

What?!

The test pipe will free up a few horses on the top end even if you are stock. You won't have any issues with mileage. With a stock exahust, it's a little noisier, but not by much at all (especially if you keep your foot out of it).

As mentioned, though... there's no difference in brand. Just beware you WILL get the check engine light, and you will NOT pass any emissions testing with it.

Moyopoyo let me know how much you are selling the spoon test pipe...Marcucci the good thing living in Miami is that there is no emission test, so we can do almost anything to our cars down here My car should sound really nice with the test pipe and my Injen cold air...

check engine light will stay on. however, i heard that the light will still function by flashing over it if you throw a serious code. my lights been on for 10,000 miles...no flashes yet. i'll try to find out if the flash CEL is true from my AHM spy.

btw, nice Kinesis wheels, are they 18 x 8 and 10? have u run 245 and 285 tires? what are the actual offsets? post a big pic if u can.
cheers.

if you run a test pipe, and your check engine light comes on; what if you want to take your car for service and they do an check engine scan, and find that 40 clicks of the turn of the key ago, they find a check engine light malfunction. then they say your warrenty is voided out. will resetting the ecu prevent honda from finding that you modified your cat when they do a engine scan????

oh yah ebay has a spoon test pipe for sale: $135 a black coated finish looks really nice.
