Default High Mileage Maintenance Suggestions

Hey Guys,

I'm current at 167,000 miles, 2004 ap2 s2000, and have been doing the usual maintenance on the car.

Engine Oil, diff fluid, trans fluid. I did valve adjustment at 120,000. I did the radiator fluid around 120,000 also.

Is there any preventative maintenance that I should be doing in the near future that you guys recommend? (like any belts, etc...)

thanks

If you haven't replaced your serpentine belt yet, I suggest you do it.

I also suggest that you bleed your brakes and get new brake fluid in your system. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, thus will pick up moisture that will corrode your calipers over time. But if you put fresh brake fluid in your system your calipers will last longer.

Make sure your clutch fluid is topped off - same fluid as your brakes. If you have some brake fluid left after you bleed your brakes, it might be a good idea to bleed your clutch line as well.

You don't even have to bleed the clutch fluid. Just get a turkey baster and pull all the fluid out, then wipe the reservoir out with a paper towel or something of the sorts. Fill up. Check it again and if its still dirty after driving for a bit repeat the process.
