I saw the new smaller Honda filter at the parts counter today. It says "manufactured by FRAM" on the side.

that would be the reason I went with a K&N when I was desperate instead of the OEM (HAMP wasn't in stock)... I refuse to run Fram filters... not just because of the valve, but more general build quality... I need to buy a case of Hamps... Just my personal preference...

Check out the Nisssan filter I mentioned in the above post-It is so identical to the small HAMPSI run it has to be made by the same company!! No more need to search all over for the HAMPS!!!

So the 96-99 Nissan I30's only use the HAMP filter right? Have any problems arisen from using those filters? I'll probably stop by a local Nissan dealer and pick one up to try them.
