It will make the engine run cooler. It is reccomended to use the low temp fan switch at the same time as well.

The heater will still work. The heater core will still have 170F coolant going through it to heat the cabin, versus 195F coolant.

The Spoon t-stat has been rumored to run cooler than the Mugen part, some people have had a check engine light come on while using it.

Your heat just wont scold you like it normally. I swear that was one of the dumbest things about the car. If I put the heat and towards the wheel to heat it up on cold days, it will eventually burn my hand. I mean honestly burn it. Crazy.

Mugen = OEM Quality parts

I've seen some of the worst stuff come out from spoon's factory and I would honestly be ashmed to put my companies name on it if I made some of the poorly designed/lack in quality control things I've seen.

So you guys are saying... other then the CEL coming on... and the heat not running as hot as before... it wouldn't have any other problems??
Should I install the thing? I already have the Mugen Fan Switch installed...

You don't take the CEL seriously enough.

If your car does not overheat, and you don't track it, you don't need the thermostat.

Mugen = OEM, you wont get a CEL, but your engine might run too cool for normal day to day driving. Piston to wall clearances need the engine to get to a nice high operating temp or else you will have increased wear on your rings and etc. You also dont want your engine oil too cool just like you dont want it too hot.

For regular street cars stock is the best. No need to screw around with something unless it isn't broken.
