Just curious why a 2002 RSX has a recommendation of 5w20 and S2000 is 10W30

I switched to M1 5W30 and have had no (apparent) issues.

Sorry, I don't have any evidence to back up it being better; I just wanted to get my two cents in.

Question for s2kforce: Are you going to do an Used Oil Analysis?
That would "prove" a 0W-20 works in a F20C2, well... at least in your F20C2

Also, to be honest, R3DS2K, I do not understand what your point is.
sorry my post was not the easiest thing to read and im not being graded.. sure i should take spend more time and fix all the mistakes and make it more understandable.. but dont read too much into what i type.. hehe

point is

10w-30 put into a car that suppose to take 0w-20 made the car run slow and crappy

according to the link.. the weight should be really close when warmed up and at operating temp

another point is

if a thinner oil (not really thinner according to the link but OK) does make the car increase MPG .. car company's would rec a better weight oil

also do a Used Oil Analysis would really help

i just wanna know if using a thinner oil cause any engine damage .. well more than using the recommending oil

Be careful with the hot idle oil pressure!
I have 0W30 in mine and the hot idle oil pressure can drop as low as 14 psi.
Mine is supercharged BTW but I will be going back to 5W30 at the next change to bring the hot idle pressure up a bit.

I plan on keep using it. Thinner oil lubricates better and
transports heat better. Also less friction, thus lower temps
and better gas mileage.
If you think so.

If it's hot idle temp, you will need to bump up the 30 SAE to a 40 SAE

5W40? ask in teh FI section, get results from other similar modded users.

Just curious why you think there's any connection? Last I checked, the RSX doesn't have an F20C/F22C engine.
