Default For those of you running test pipes

I've seen a lot of you using test pipes and I'm just wondering if you all just tolerate the CEL being on or if you are running the o2 sensor defouler or what exactly you are doing and how effective your technique is.

My cat is rattling so I'm wanting to look at my options. Thanks in advance

I just bought a spark plug defouler, drilled it out, screwed it into the test pipe, then screwed the O2 sensor into the defouler

You will need 2 of defoulers to bypass Check engine code. Items you need are called Spark plug Defoulers found in Advance auto parts or Autozone.
You will neen to drill bigger holes with huge bit so that CO2 sensor fits, Just find right thread defoulers that will screw into your test pipe.
There is a post about how to drill holes and how big on this forums
Hope this helps

Depends on the year.

00-05 you can use spark plug spacers no problem.

06-09 you need a right angle spacer, and point it towards the front of the car.

hmm will the vibrant J hook work? or is that too long? i have a HFC and im getting too much water on the sensor and its drowning it. im coming close to drilling out the hole in the built in defouler on the berk.

When I had my '08 CR I used this for 3 years. Worked great & no CEL.

Now with my '01 AP1, just a regular anti-fouler/defouler/CEL Fix (whatever you want to call it) is all that's needed. Actually, the right-angle one wouldn't fit properly...

My Invidia TP came with the CEL 'eliminator' but it didn't work by itself. I ended up adding a spark plug defouler and it's worked fine for a long time now.
