My 05 developed an idle hunting issue this morning- it will go from 1000RPM to 2500RPM while idle, in a rhythmic fashion....

I parked it, and pulled the DTC manually using blink codes, and got the following:
1 long, 4 short = P0113 --------------- IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE

(Makes sense given symptoms....)


Here's the strange part, the second code that pops up is:
10 long, 9 short = ??????????????

Anyone have any idea what this could be? I'll find out on Monday when I take it in for service, just curious what it might be....

 

IAC valve is stuck.

Remove it, spray inside with wd-40, reinstall, tap it lightly with a screwdriver handle while the engine is running.

Seen/fixed this many times....

under warranty. you can take it in and have them find out ... or do what billman recommended
