Default Throttle and brake pedal spacing

Has anyone modified the spacing of the throttle to brake pedal? I have an 06 and unless I wear very wide shoes, can not heel and toe to rev match on downshifts.

Any mods out there for this?

Any advice on heel and toe for this car?

Thanks,
Bernman

My feet seem to be too large to be able to angle over far enough. I did find this while poking around at a different forum.

This could be what I need. Anyone have experience with these?

Foot on brake, lift heel and pivot on ball of foot, blip throttle with heel

You do end up with your foot almost sideways.

Try doing it with the car parked and look and see if its really not possible for you or not.

I have my big toe on the brake, and use the area below the little toe to catch the accelerator firmly. I'm a US 43.5, FWIW.

Above crudely shows the right foot.

H= heel
B = Big toe (on brake)
i = little/last toe
x is the area of the foot I use to blip the throttle.

Hope this helps

Foot over the gas pedal pivot over to the left for brakes when I need it. When I'm, on the brakes, lean my foot to blip and apply gas.

That's how I (attempt to) do it.

Try centering the foot in the throttle and then turning it to the left for the brake. When I'm on the track my right foot doesn't come off the floor pan. It's gas, lean the foot left for brake, blip with the outer edge (right side) of the foot, then pivot back to the gas pedal when I'm done.

For gas and brake, in order to get the most accuracy on the pedals, you want to use the foot or even the toes without using the major muscles of the leg. That's why the foot stays planted.

I have a gas pedal cover on my Civic so I can heal-toe. It's not needed for the '2k with my normal shoes.

Buy an aftermarket pedal set...the one's a gofast are expensive as hell! Sparco makes great stuff for ~$30...
www.sparco.com

I would dig around on ebay for a single aftermarket gas pedal with a lip on the side so you can catch it with the outside of your foot.
