Throttle getting stuck at WOT.. any solutions?
Whatever the real problem is - get it fixed right away
My armchair diagnosis is - stuck throttle plate (butterfly) in the throttle body. As an engine ages, impurities in the intake tract deposit in the throttle body, sometimes causing sticky operation of the throttle plate. If that's the problem, it can be fixed by cleaning the its pivot points and the surrounding bore with a high-quality carbureter cleaner or similar solvent.
If that's not it, it certainly could be a problem in the cable.
Please tell us how you fix this.

I think that once the cable is removed from the linkage, you should be able to tell right away where the problem resides.
I have seen cables bind, but have also seen the throttle body cause this problem as well. I had the throttle stick wide open on my dirt bike...THAT was fun! That was the carb, the slide was sticking (similar to the throttle body).
Hope you have it fixed by now.

yea found the problem.. i installed a NX kit.. and it was the WOT switch making it get stuck at WOT.. relocated it and all is good. no longer interfering w/ /movment of the throttle latch or whatever u call it. i'm a dumbass for not realizing it at first. oh well.. got it re-installed by a pro (obviously not myself) and it looks pretty clean.. i'll post pics soon

Steve:
Before you take the car out give the throttle a couple full pushes to the floor before you start the car. This way it will be sure the throttle is in good working order and get rid of any stickiness that might have built up.
