take it to a dealer, check the throttle cable, not necessarily in that order.

disconnect the cable from the throttle body and check it. should move ultra smooth back and forth. then try to make the throttle body itself stick open.

I had the opposite problem on a previous Honda. If the car sat over night, the butterfly would stick shut, and I would have to push pretty hard on the pedal to break it loose. I don't really see how the butterfly could be sticking open, so I agree with the others about the cable.

personally, I would not even fool with it.

Stuck throttle = safety issue. maybe not for you, but for some other poor soul or even a pedestrian

If dealer does not do the right thing, either in or out of warranty, notify NHSTA. I probably would ntfy. the feds anyway.

Yea, this is something you would want fixed. Don't want it to stick and not come up.

mine did the very same thing this weekend.

The car hasn't been on the road for two weeks (i hate snow) and the second i tried to hit Vtec she got stuck (scary) and bounced of the rev lim (9k) three times. I wondered if it was because she was really cold. hasn't done it sence
